Sadie Plant was born in 1964 in Birmingham. She read Philosophy at Manchester University, lectured at the University of Birmingham and was Research Fellow and Director of the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit at the University of Warwick. Her most recent book, Writing on Drugs, was published in 1999.
